Iran welcomes Mohammed Allawi's appointment as Iraqi prime minister

Iran on Sunday (February 2) welcomed the appointment of Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi as the new prime minister of Iraq and reiterated its backing for the government`s demand for US forces to leave the country.
